![]() Syed Jamal Mustafa, MD Dr Jamal is a Physician with over twenty years experience in treating substance abuse in patients of all ages. He specializes in Alcohol Dependence and Opiate dependence. He is one of a handful of WA physicians who are certified in the use of Suboxone for treatment of Opiate Dependence. Dr Jamal started his Residency in Psychiatry at the Delaware Psychiatric Center. From the start his training included Addiction Psychiatry in addition to diagnosis and treatment of chronic mental illnesses in adult and geriatric populations. Later he completed his Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiaty from the University of Washington, and gained further insight in the science of addiciton in the younger populations. He is currently a practicing psychiatrist in the Bothell, he treats all age groups i.e. Adult, Adolesent and Geriatric patients. Larry Venditto, MSW, CDP, LISW Larry is a 1978 graduate of the University of Montana, where he majored in Psycholgy and minored in Philosophy. He received his Master of Arts Degree in Social Work from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1985. Larry is a state licensed Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as a Certified Chemical Dependency Professional, with over twenty years experience overall. Larry's areas of expertise include Anxiety, Chronic Illness, Loss and Grieff, Sexuality, Domestic Violence, Addiction, and Couples and Parent/Child Problems. He employees existential, developmental, mind/body, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral, Inter Personal and structural therapy techniques. Tamara Zundel, MA, LMHC Tamara is a 1990 graduate from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington where she majored in Developmental Psychology. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology in 1993 from Antioch University in Seattle, Washington. Tamara is a Licensed Mental Health Counsellor and a Child Mental Health Specialist. Tamara has been working with Children and Adolescents for 18 years. She has been working with couples, families and adults for 15 years. Tamara speciales in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), solution focues therapy, developmental and family therapy. Tamara is also an educational consultant for families with children receiving special education services. Areas of clinical expertise are chronic mental illness, children and families, Borderline Personality, Anxiety Disorder and Depression. Jennifer Loewen, MSW, LICSW Jennifer is a 1997 graduate of the Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where she majored in Psychology. She recieved her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2003. Jennifer has been helping individuals to oversome mental health issues and improve the quality of thier lives. for the past seven years. Jennifer is experienced in working with individuals around the issues of Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Survivors of Trauma and Borderline Personality Disorder. Jennifer tailors her treatment to the needs of the clients using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessin (EMDR). Jennifer also specializes in the treatment of adults with Developmental Disabilities. While her focus with this population is on the person she is wserving, the cornerstone of her practice is collaboration with care providers, families and team members. ![]() Smita Borgahain, MB,BS Smita is a Graduate of Asam Medical School in India, she is currently an observer at DETOCS. She has been accepted to Bellevue Community College Chemical Dependency Certification Program, after which she offically join DETOCS as a CDP Trainee. Smita has experience in pharmacolgy of addiction substances as well as knowledge about the medications used in treating substances of abuse. As a physician she has experience in treating chemical dependency issues in her native country, India. She brings with her a holistic and multi-cultural perspective to the clinic. |
